You’re correct because around rapid city you can start hunting at 9:00 am.

I might add though, what time zone were you in? You can hunt at 9:00 if you’re in the western part of the state in mountain time zone.

When I looked at the October 22nd crop report it showed beans were almost done at 90% which was ahead of schedule and corn was at 48% which was right in line with average. We’re staying at the super 8 right off 90. After a full day of hunting about the only thing I care about is a nice hot tub to get ready for the next day.

I’ve found that the signs will just tell you what kind of property it is whether WIA, CREP, WPA, etc. I have never seen a sign for school land though. It is up to the hunter to know the rules for each type of property though and I’ve found that the printed map SD F&G put out is the best way to...

I agree. Rapid is showing in the 40's almost every day and even in the 50's on like day 8-10 while Mitchell is showing 12 deg high today and work towards upper 30's towards end of 10 day forecast. Who knows what will really happen though.

I saw on the 10 day forecast between Rapid City to Presho to Mitchell that there will be some days in the 40's next week. Hopefully that will help some of the snow melt but I guess on the flip side it could help and freeze again making it even harder for birds to get to food on the ground.

I woke up to -18 this morning in Idaho. It’s 4:30 pm now and it’s -3.

Same here. We were going to try and leave today but decided we better wait. We’ll try again after Christmas it will take a while to clear all those back roads so no point driving to so dak and getting stuck.
