    Pheasant Hunting

That's me for the most part too. Start out turkey hunting and trout fishing in April. When walleye season opens in May I'm pretty heavy into fishing for them most of the summer. But come Grouse opener in September, the fishing gear is put away for the year.

    Pheasant Hunting

Thumbs down on not fishing when you can't hunt all summer

    New Law

If they did something like that I would never go to Montana just on principle haha

    New Law

Any law like this certainly isn't too lower out of state hunting, it's to make more money. How many people pay for multiple licenses to go to SD for multiple trips a year? If SD was a "one license all year" model they wouldn't make as much money with the model they've had for however long now...

Lead shot ban (DFL introduced bills) opposed by MN State HS Clay Target League

Personally I'm for a lead ammo ban. The largest negative you hear of from people about a lead ammo ban (other than people who think it's just one step closer to a full ban on guns. To that I say take your tin foil hat off) is the price. If the whole "supply and demand" part of capitalism works...

Nebraska Legislature Considers Raiding Game Fund

Because I can't help myself, I sent this guy an email with only this in it:

20 gauge Browning Citori Grade 6--28"--current values?

I saw one on Gun Broker, a grade 5, starting bid of $3,800.

    Muddy paws in house.

How you handle it can depend on your house layout alot. For me, I have a sliding door right into my backyard with a kennel in the corner right by the door. When it's muddy outside, my dog goes out, does her thing, then when she comes in she gets to take a 15 minute nap in the kennel (don't tell...

    Browning 20ga A5

No sorry needed haha was just saying so others would know. Woodcock are a fun bird to chase if you can hit their migration right.

Woodcock aren't waterfowl either yet you need a plug in your gun as they're a migratory bird

PSA-Loosen up that choke, or get rid of it altogether

I'd say most people over estimate a bird they shot, and under estimate birds they shoot at and miss. Everyone thinks they knocked down a bird at 50 yards when in reality it was 25-30 and everyone thinks they should have hit that bird at 35-40 yards when it was 60 yards. I used to play football...

Worst things that happened while hunting ?

Him and millions of other dog owners Goose. You should try a kennel sometime. Know where my dog is right now? Laying in her kennel looking out my sliding glass door as the kennel door is wide open. Soon she'll probably move to the couch. Later she'll be back in there on her own accord sleeping...

    How many shells?

I carry about 20-25 on me to start the day and go from there. 5 in the gun, the rest on my right side vest pocket (I'm a lefty). Before I started shooting a 16 gauge, I'd carry about 10 if I was hunting with others. Figuring I can bum a shell or 2 if needed but now I make sure I have enough. If...

    Tools?

I would agree on the EMT gel. I don't carry any in my vest, just in the first aid kit at the truck. EMT is mostly for minor to moderate cuts that are right below the borderline of needing stitches. Those cuts can wait to get back to the truck in my opinion. Now if I was planning some mountain...

Upland strap vest you can load birds in

I take my vest off every time getting into the truck. My vest fits great so I don't have to mess with it. Undo 2 straps and throw it right at the back of the truck. When I get to my next spot, gun comes out of the case, I load the 5 shells I keep in my door cupholder, throw my vest on, and let...

PSA-Loosen up that choke, or get rid of it altogether

I've said it here before, but I firmly believe most peoples guns are over choked. I used to shoot a modified in my terms and early 20s and struggled at times. I've been shooting nothing but improved for the last 12 years and noticed a definite increase in shooting percentage once I opened up my...
