    Suggestions on a lighter gun

I looked at a bunch of nice 20’s and the SweetSixteen. No bad options but I went ahead with the Ethos. Felt good and I like its looks. It patterned well out of the box but it does kick a little. I walk a lot more than I shoot so it is a good trade.

    Suggestions on a lighter gun

Thanks. I've done searches on everything mentioned. I'll try to get my hands on some. Can't find a 26" A5 Sweet Sixteen locally. Are 2-3/4" 16ga lead and steel shells difficult to find? Didn't see too much around here.

    Suggestions on a lighter gun

    Crash course in SD hunting.

The fall issue of Pheasants Forever had a nice article on 11 Mistakes Pheasant Hunters Make by Tom Carpenter. Even better, they did a podcast on the topics recently -

    Field Bred Goldens ?

We have had Goldens for hunting and family dogs for over 40 years. We got all of them from Frisbie but they have retired. Our new one comes from Thunderstruck Retrievers near Alexandria. We just got her but she seems like a good one. Be sure to do research. Good breeders of Goldens are not...

Any suggestions for private land near Faulkton?

Looking for any leads on private land to hunt within driving distance of Faulkton with reputable landowner and reasonable fee. Just two of us. Want to hunt on our own. Last week of October. We have accommodations. Last year was our first trip to SD. It was fun but public land was heavily used...
