The only day it’s too late is the day after season, that goes for everything you chase or catch, even then think about next year, may not hurt to ask, my two cents
Fellas, I been doing this a little while not as long as most of you, I was wanting to know your point of view basically how do you all do it, I take any advice and all, apologize in advance for any confusion
How do you all do it. Ive had hard headed pups to gun shy pups, headed to South Dakota in one day and might have the best pointer I have ever hunted behind but needs reminded from time to time I don’t like it when she chases rabbits and deer. Just curious on everyone’s opinion
Agreed, if there’s an eye injury I would head to vet, if not I would wait 24 hours before making any decision, dogs are tougher then we think and heal fast
My personal opinion is that if your dog goes with you everywhere like mine all have, hunting, fishin everywhere they will eventually tear one, and it’s usually a pain in the ass and not very comfortable for the pup
Preseason ritual? Pack all your gear guns bullets boots and dogs then realize you forgot most of it, with one eye open as your leaving the house @wolfman
Munster, Thanks for the information! Me and my buddy are coming from southeast kansas on the 22nd with my pointer and hunting for 5 days, mostly public, however we might be willing to pay for a half day hunt, any recommendation's or guides?
I would tend to agree, growing up in Neosho county in the 80's ( since relocated not to far away) i remember in the fall seeing flocks up to 75 birds but I don't think I have ever seen a flock of 100. Best wild game to eat in my opinion.
Can anyone help out a kansan looking for lodging around the Winner area, does not have to be specifically in Winner. It does not have to be the Marriott, in all honesty I can't afford the Marriott. Have a wonderful day.
