I have a Franchi AL48, Beretta Silver Pigeon II, and Ruger Red Label in 28 ga. The little Franchi is my favorite shotgun.

My brother-in-law came across Belgium made Browning Superposed 12 ga in Mod/Full. His son is using it to shoot trap, but we did a European shoot and he used it there. It’s about as good as it gets. I like my Beretta too, but that superposed is special.

Seems like I’m always looking to by 5s, but last year I killed a bunch with a 16 ga and 6s. Hard to go wrong either way. At this point, I say buy which ever one is cheaper and go get some birds.

I like my chaps when I’m hunting CRP and taller grasses. I was doing some deer drives the other day and wanted to wear some comfortable hiking shoes but knew I’d be walking through occasional briars and stuff no more than knee high, so I opted for the gaiters. For me, I’ll keep doing it this way.

Thanks. I bought some Fiocchi 12 ga #5s here today for $12.99 per box. I’m good for at least one more year now, but I’ll probably go by Rogers anyway. Guess you can’t have too much.

Great advice already given. I think phone call vs. face-to-face comes down to whether or not this is a good friend or just a friend. He crossed a line that could get your permission revoked. He needs to own that. If he gets too bent out of shape over it, he’s not much of a friend.

First SxS I ever used as an AH Fox that my uncle had. It was a 20 ga that had developed a knot in one of the barrels right on the choke area. He had a gunsmith cut it down to get rid of the knot. So it had 2 cylinder barrels. It was a quail busting sucker. Loved that gun. Wish I had it today.

I live in NW Arkansas. I was at Wal-Mart today. Nothing larger than #6 shot in 12 and 20. Haven't been to Bass Pro, but their prices are high compared to other places I've been.

I got a FAIR Iside 16 ga with double triggers. took it to SD this year. Having two triggers was nice when one got up a little further out. Just slide back to the back trigger and watch them drop.
