I agree. Rapid is showing in the 40's almost every day and even in the 50's on like day 8-10 while Mitchell is showing 12 deg high today and work towards upper 30's towards end of 10 day forecast. Who knows what will really happen though.

I saw on the 10 day forecast between Rapid City to Presho to Mitchell that there will be some days in the 40's next week. Hopefully that will help some of the snow melt but I guess on the flip side it could help and freeze again making it even harder for birds to get to food on the ground.

Same here. We were going to try and leave today but decided we better wait. We’ll try again after Christmas it will take a while to clear all those back roads so no point driving to so dak and getting stuck.

The lodge I work for doesn't do cast and blast but the other lodge in the valley does cast and blast. They get up at 5 in the morning and float down to a blind, hunt ducks for a couple of hours and then float out and fish. I have done it on my own and it is a lot of fun but not as a guide.

Idaho got hammered in November and hasn't really let us. I'm afraid it is going to be a long winter indeed. I sure hope the pheasants can find feed and it didn't get frozen in the ice and then snow on top of the ice.
