    2 day walk in trip

Again, it is coincidence that the WIHA program and NR deer hunting began the same year? On the eastern side of the state there is much less WIHA than out west. Is this because the state targets pheasant hunters or is it because there are more outfitters and deer leases on the eastern side...

Much of the cattle grazed CRP that has cattle on it isn't owned by the landowner. When they open up emergency grazing and haying, farmers and ranchers start calling everyone they know with ground enrolled in CRP to get their cattle and swathers on it. There is a lady that owns 5 quarter...

I thought there was a supreme Court decision saying they didn't. Maybe I am not remembering correctly though.

I think the KDWP implemented WIHA with deer hunters in mind, not upland game. It just seems ironic that the WIHA program and NR deer hunting both started in 1995. Prior to 1995 you could get permission to hunt almost anywhere you asked. The WIHA was strictly for NR hunting.

Whatever it is, it has to start with landowners. But we could utilize public utilities much better. Farmers don't own to the road, yet crops are planted to the road. Ditches are mowed and sprayed. A little habitat along county roads goes a long way.

Cactus Spine in a Dogs Paw

My dog had to have a locust thorn taken out of his paw. His foot swelled up so much that it looked like a softball. They put him under, and I believe he had a couple of stitches.

    Disappointed

Cabela's had dropped much of their good clothing line long before 2017. Cabela's really hasn't been good since around 2000, long before it sold. You guys must not have been shopping there 40 years ago. Cabela's sales had been down for years, much of their clothing line dropped, and they were...

    Pressure?

I leased a piece of WIHA today. It won't go into effect until the WIHA contract is up. State was paying $6 an acre for this tract and it was a good tract. I bowhunt this property and have had a couple of treestands stolen and a couple of run in's with non residents hunting in my stands...

    Disappointed

Their catalogs were so awesome during the 80's. Always loved the big one, but couldn't wait to get the fall catalog with the new camo. They offered a lot of different quality camo.

    What would your reaction be?

Shit people are shit people, regardless of where they are from. But Kansas residents deserve the opening weekend by themselves.

You need to post his number then. That is the only way to make it hard on the outfitters and force the state legislature to do something about them. Otherwise, people will keep using them. Most of my bad encounters are NR's nowadays. We just don't have near the resident hunters that we had...

    What would your reaction be?

So Kansas residents with a guide? Most guides in Kansas are NR's. Take a look at most of the outfitters websites and you will find a large percentage don't have Kansas phone numbers. They generally are NR's leasing land.
