    Hunting with two dogs.

Having hunted with 2 dogs for many different dogs lifetimes, in my experience, if you hunt Roxy by herself some, she will quickly become her own dog in the field. She will most likely gain more confidence and become more like the seasoned dog that Skye is. Just my opinion.

Is Bismuth Shot really more effective than Steel?

I use a 410 to hunt Blues…1/2 oz of 7.5 drops them all day long. Blue Grouse have very thin skin and doesn’t take much to bring them down.

So get that chamber bored out to 3” and buy some $25-$30/box 28 gauge magnums and put some more pellets in the air . Winchester is making an 1 1/8 ounce load in # 5 that might do you good.

I used to get rid of factory shocks around 60K, but my GMC Sierra HD has Rancho shocks that seem to be holding up really well for 85K miles.

Sporting clays, how to approach targets so they carryover to the pheasant fields.

I don’t shoot sporting clays, but I do shoot skeet. I always shoot from a low gun position to get as close to a hunting situation as possible.
