    Conditions

If corn stays $6+ and the sloughs don't fill up, we should get ready for a good deal of habitat loss. I remember the last time corn hit $7, every low spot got turned over and planted...and flooded out the following years. Let's just hope they reinvest their earnings in new tractors and...

    2021 RINGNECK OUTLOOK

Imagine having such a long running indicator of health of one of your largest income sources, and cancelling it because you don't like the numbers. Is ineptitude the right word?

    2021 RINGNECK OUTLOOK

I would do that in a heartbeat. Maybe they could offer a 3 day, 1 week, and full season.

    Hearing protection

I second what highvoltage uses. I'm on year 4 with mine, and they are still going strong. Use them every week during the summer for dog training. Only trouble is on really windy days, but that's life. They have replaceable foam inserts, and I've found that the comply tips work the best for me.

    Is that so?

Every right comes with limits, like it or not. And seeing how recklessly so many of my fellow Americans handle weapons, I'm happy that all military munitions aren't available to the masses.

How dry is western North Dakota?

I was talking with my farming family this winter about erosion practices as we watched all sorts of windrows windbreaks get burned/pulled. They said the dust bowl will never happen again due to changes in tillage practices, something about how they turn things over differntly now. Then this...

Otto noizebarrier. Three years, use them all summer dog training and in the duck blind during the fall. Add on comply tips (amazon) and you'll forget you're wearing them. Little bit cheaper than the sound gears.

Area to Throw Some Clays in Metro

When I moved here from Iowa, I couldn't believe I had to pay a private place to shoot clays. Iowa had public ranges that I could throw my own. There is no such thing close to the cities that I'm aware of.

More bombast, nothing to worry about here - right?

Literally the first word of the thread you started. You feeling ok?

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

Believe it or not, a major metropolitan hospital system has lots of employees. In my department alone, pharmacy, I have over 200 people that I work directly with. Add on doctors nurses respiratory therapists, it adds up. And I call BS on the part about healthcare workers choosing not to get...

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

those thousand people were all my fellow healthcare professionals that were vaccinated when the first round was made available here in Minnesota. So it came from first first-hand accounts with my fellow coworkers. The CDC is also running a post vaccine survey to see what kinds of effects people...

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

It still amazes me that people think the entire world is being bamboozled by this pandemic.

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

From my experience in helping vaccinate over a thousand people at my hospital, your second dose shouldn't be much worse than your first. Six months of immune memory is encouraging though.

Seresto Flea Collar Linked to Almost 1,700 Pet Deaths

I've got more insight to the counterfeit problem than most (married to a patent and trademark attorney). Here are the rules we try to abide by. 1) You get what you pay for (aka too good be true, probably is) 2) Avoid online marketplaces if possible (amazon, ebay, etc) 3) If you do order...

SD Open Fields Doctrine soon to be gone.

Yeah, pretty much. For example, I had just arrived in SD. I wasn't hunting that day, hadn't even bought my license yet. I got stopped at a mandatory game check. I know I looked like a hunter, but I was at that point just a civilian driving. They still made me pull off the road, get in line, and...

SD Open Fields Doctrine soon to be gone.

I'm generally in favor of more muted police powers, from local on up to federal (and don't even get me started on border patrol/ICE), but this seems like unfair privilege to landowners vs non-landowners. Why should people on private land get to pursue (the people's) game without fear of game...
