Dogs get retriever practice in pond, hard swimming. Younger dogs do agility. There are agility classes and trials all over now, easy to find one. Also good for me and I am 73.

Worth picking up a copy at a grocery store. I’ve had Goldens for 50 plus years and I learned a few things.

Now really weird was grocery store today and the magazine rack had a copy with the Golden on the front.

That’s weird. There’s a Golden on the cover and the article is on page 52. I just got it this week.

There is a great article in the last issue of Shooting Sportsman about Goldens. Very inclusive from history to temperament and health issues. For those of us that run Goldens it is an excellent read.

Every one of my goldens has suffered from hearing loss. My 16 year old can barely hear a gunshot. My 12 year old can only hear a whistle if i blow till I’m red in the face. Wish it was different.
