    Gloves

Here we go again. My old Thinsulate leather driving gloves are shot. No longer made. Bought a new pair last year, didn't last a month. I need a good pair that are tough enough to withstand briars. Also need to be thin enough to use on double triggers. Opinions appreciated.

    Ground-pounding opinions

Dog gets birdy thumb or finger on the safety. Bird flushes, safety off.

    Wanted: Semi auto 16 gauge

There's a couple testaments of the American workmanship of the 40's and 50's. I wonder how many of the Turkish guns will still be in use 70 years from now. I still see the model 11's in the field once in a while. A lot of folks don't know that the early A5's were 11's. If I remember correctly...

What does your dog do when you miss a bird?

Mine goes back to the truck and has a shot of whiskey. When I get back to the truck, I get a look that clearly says IF YOU DON'T GET WITH THE PROGRAM, YOU'RE GOING TO BE BUSTING THAT THICK STUFF BY YOUR SELF!

    Beretta Silver Pigeon

I got to ask about your aversion to short barrels. Are you a big guy? My favorite length is 26. I shot a 100 special field with 24 inch barrels.

    20 guage auto?

I admit I am not up on any of the newer guns. But My grandson has the Winchester 20. Not sure if it's the sx or not, I'll find out. It is very dependable but it's heavy and a little bulky for me. They also have the Browning silver. The Winchester doesn't get out of the safe much. The Browning...

    Beretta Silver Pigeon

Get it before it gets away. you'll shoot it fine after some practice. If not you won't loose any money on it, probably make some. P.S. I've never regreted buying any Beretta I've ever owned.

    Recovery Powder

My buddy's setter was running hard past me close when she rammed a sharp stick into her shoulder. Laid her open pretty good. We took her to an old vet that we knew from previous problems and also let us hunt on him in southern Iowa. He said that if he sewed her up, she was done hunting for this...

    Recovery Powder

When my sugar level started climbing, I asked my doctor about a good diet. He said the truth was just to cut back on the carbs and sugar and don't eat anything that comes in a sealed package. Wow, I started feeling better in a weak!! Now if I could just do something about my looks. 😁

I don't think they suck but they do look like you stuck a dog turd on the end of your barrel.

    South central

So, south central bird #s come up any? Was there a couple years ago. Quail #s were ok, Phez was pretty dismal. I'm trying to formulate a plan.

Looking for a new hunting vehicle

True, but my first 5 years or so were spent with two of us in my gen. 1 forerunner. Next 10 in Nissan hard bodies. Now still a long bed/double cab Nissan frontier or my Tacoma. A little tight coming and going but perfect to hunt out of.

    Wanted: Semi auto 16 gauge

I Understand, I had a 58 also. It was a 20. I never had a problem with good shells, and it was a little lighter but have read that they weren't as reliable as the 48's. My brother has a 20 gauge 58 he's had for probably 40 years. Grandkids shoot clay with it now with no problems. To each his own...

Looking for a new hunting vehicle

My buddy bought a slightly used f 150 with the newer 9 speed transmission. It went out at 20000 miles. Still under warranty thank goodness.
