This is the sort of behavior that makes other hunters look bad. Either that or they are drunk, which is a terrible idea when firearms are involved.

Jim, bear in mind that there is a 4 day youth/early anterless firearms deer season from October 16-19 so there may be some people hunting deer during those four days with firearms. You will need additional blaze orange during those 4 days when you are hunting. Just a FYI

I agree with Gladhunter above; the stop and go method works pretty well without a dog. I hunted without a dog for years before I was able to own one. Take 10 steps, pause, 10 more steps, pause. Birds will flush when you are standing still. Try to hunt thinner cover. Forget about cattail...

Mine is from 2007 so it's close to 20 years old now too. 12 gauge. It's never failed me once. What is this "click" you speak of? The shotgun just fails to fire or what?
