    Lab puppy

If you can get your hands on even a dead bird, it would probably help. Clip winged would be best because there's a lot more temptation for the dog as they flop around in the water. But a dead bird will work too.

Hot dogs are my go to high value treat when training haha

    Lab puppy

Yeah usually another dog will swimming coerce a young one to swim. But sounds like Goose has tried that. My dog now wouldn't swim even when the older one was out there swimming around and retrieving bumpers. She'd wait at the bank for her to get out then chase her to get the bumper. What I ended...

    Lab puppy

I would suggest not pushing him off a dock anymore. That didn't help your cause any if he was already hesitant around water and likely caused you to make life more difficult now. I would suggest putting on rubber boots, waders would be better, and getting in the water with him. Bring high value...

    Preferred 20 Gauge Shell

Yeah as a tool it would be great. I definitely see the pros for that gun, especially at its price point. CZ probably sells a ton of them given that they are a sub 6 pound O/U for about $800

    Preferred 20 Gauge Shell

I contemplated the CZ for a bit after handling it but it seems to be 50/50 on if you get a good one or not. Plus I'm a pretty big Browning fan boy haha

I checked out the CZ ultralight at Scheels when I ordered my Citori. That thing was incredibly light.

For Sale: 1952 Marlin 336 RC .35 Remington

I know we all like shotguns most here but my dad has a 1952 Marlin 336 RC .35 REM for sale. I have an idea of value on it using Gun Broker and True Gun Value, he's thinking $800 is fair given what others have sold for in auctions. He has gotten a couple trade in offers from shops local but...

    Why I love labs

I'd bet a well trained Small Munsterlander can keep up with the same well trained lab just the same on cold water retrieves.

Thanks a lot for this. Really helpful.

    Many of us are pigs.

Not to rag on waterfowlers, but they definitely seem messier than upland guys. Whenever I've gone duck hunting with some buddies who are waterfowl only types, they always have a bag with snacks. They always take their trash back with them, but I question how many guys with the same snack bags do...

    Preferred 20 Gauge Shell

Yeah if I decide to grab a pair I'll get the non ported versions. I like ported chokes for my turkey gun but that's about it.

Thanks for the offer but this gun has the new DS chokes

    Preferred 20 Gauge Shell

How do you like the Briley chokes? I may invest in a set for this gun. You notice any difference in patterning?

    Preferred 20 Gauge Shell

Thanks all for the suggestions. I'll probably end up patterning a handful of shell brands this summer as well. I saw mostly 3" at my local Scheels when I ordered the gun so might have to go with 3s to start out and then order some 2.75s and do some patterning.
