I’ve stayed at quality inn and days inn and both are dog friendly. They didn’t have cleaning stations but I’ve cleaned birds at their dump bins without problems.

One thing I will say. When it comes to WPA and GPA they will probably be around if my kids decide to hunt. CREPs and WIA aren’t always guaranteed. So I’m a big fan of GPA and WPA but I’m grateful for all public land opportunities.

You’re correct because around rapid city you can start hunting at 9:00 am.

I might add though, what time zone were you in? You can hunt at 9:00 if you’re in the western part of the state in mountain time zone.

When I looked at the October 22nd crop report it showed beans were almost done at 90% which was ahead of schedule and corn was at 48% which was right in line with average. We’re staying at the super 8 right off 90. After a full day of hunting about the only thing I care about is a nice hot tub to get ready for the next day.

I agree. Rapid is showing in the 40's almost every day and even in the 50's on like day 8-10 while Mitchell is showing 12 deg high today and work towards upper 30's towards end of 10 day forecast. Who knows what will really happen though.

I saw on the 10 day forecast between Rapid City to Presho to Mitchell that there will be some days in the 40's next week. Hopefully that will help some of the snow melt but I guess on the flip side it could help and freeze again making it even harder for birds to get to food on the ground.
