    First time Pheasant Trip SD

Think there are quite a few WPAs (waterfowl production areas) up there which are good pheasant hunting places with cattails, grass, and nearby crop stalks and stubble. The WPAs are well-marked with signage and are on the SD hunting atlas. Weird thing about SD is that the first week of the...

Alaskan swamp collies: "No kids and the nephews have gone their own way. I guess I will try not to think about it." Same here. Trying to figure out who to give my rollie to so it's not on my wrist when the emts come for my body haha. Then there's the house. Asked my cousins if anyone wants...

    High protein and organ failure?

I just checked the percentages of Purina One True Instinct turkey and venison blend and was surprised to see it's 30% protein and 17% fat, topping Purina Pro Plan. In the past One was 26/16. which all my dogs thrived on.

    Something special about South Dakota

gps4 says: "i've hunted pheasants in nebraska, kansas and SD. as my kids would say, 'SD just hits different.'" a unique aspect of SD over KS and NE is that there are actually birds there

    food

Internet article today reports some pet owners believe their dogs have been sickened by Purina Pro Plan. Purina says after reviewing everything, there's no basis to blame Pro Plan. Could it be too rich for some?

    Dogs Change, I Guess

she's always been a house dog and goes everywhere with me. it's always been just the two of us. while there's some growling in bed, in the wee hours she will snuggle against me. i'm thinking just getting older and cranky.
