First thing you can do starting today is dont shoot bumped birds.. I deal with this all the time on blues, on one hand they are running so tracking and relocating are happening fast, and if they lock up on first scent that bird is gone. It’s a tough decision not to shoot after so much was done...

Do you have an opinion on librela? I use it with daily glucosamine powder.. I can see his rear hips breaking down, just trying to slow down father time

Is it helping? A monthly shot is so much easier than pills… hopefully safer as well

What a super cool bird!

My crazy uncle who tormented me as a child but also helped introduce me to bird hunting, motorcycles, and chewing tobacco had an awful bird dog named cleaver. He ate more pheasant we shot than the family did. My oldest dog a weim has the name as an attempt to right a wrong.

Ours were on the downhill slide but it was the nail in the coffin..

I heard rumors all summer that parts of Arizona were primed for a great year, early rain with monsoons still to come. Sad to hear it didn’t pan out.

I missed the heyday for the Texas panhandle where we farmed but dad and grandpa tell stories or the 70’s and 80’s being phenomenal. I started in the late 90’s with great success until the drought of 2011, nothing was the same after that.
