Reports are that there will be zero birds within 50 miles of Huron this fall, that giant pheasant might be the only one you see! Absolutely, I think it’s the only way to do it. It wasn’t too bad, definitely fell a couple times, but I think it was the better than plain old boots.

Not to blow this thread up with my own videos, but here are my last two of the season. What a trip to SD.. 9/9 on roosters when the gun went off. Never missed. Probably will never have a repeat performance like it.

I bought these on Amazon for $70. Worked pretty well.. small enough to navigate the cattails, but big enough to not fall through EVERY drift.

Go to the thickest cover you can find, a nice cattail patch the last hour will usually be holding some birds, especially near a food source.
