    Dog eating birds !*#&!'s

Ok, young dog (16 month lab) has not been around too many dead birds. When he "retrieves", he will, if you don't pull the bird out by the feet/tail (dove), swallow the whole bird. As you pull the bird out, he gets a little teethy. Any ideas on how to correct this? I have been told wrap bird...

    Big 12?

So where does K-State and KU head after the big 12 breakup? Yeah I know, this ain't bird hunting, but figured since most of whom I meet while hunting Kansas has a tie into one of the Big 12 colleges.

After this past year, I have decided to free style agian. I have hunted my area for the last ten years and the pressure has been up alot in the last several. All my good feilds are being pounded and bird numbers are not holding up. The last several days of the last hunt, I decided to go off...

    Controlled Shooting Area?

What is a controlled shooting area? I have always come across them, but never thought too much about it. The signs say "Controlled Shooting Area...No Trespassing". I noticed when I bought my 2011 license that the state has a permit for controlled shooting areas.

    Dog under gramits?

My old lab has a very thick coat and the wear from the feilds never messed with his underside/chest/pits ect. The new boy has a great coat, but thin. I bet after running all day in the feilds he will have some issues with abrasion. Any thoughts on a protective vest that might work? Most of...

    Another tip

Bring along a floor jack and 4-way. Never know when you loose a tire. Or at least you can aways stop and help some else out in need. Picked this one up not to long ago. Blew a trailer tire on the highway. I pulled over and right behind behind another fellow pulled in and he had the jack and...
