The lace up 800 g thinsulate ones. Anyone tried them? I like the looks of them and the price is tight at 100 bucks. If they last 2-3 winters theyd be worth it. If you have them, are they true to size?
Dont retire that. Ive had a pair of gloves since 1999, and I wont turkey hunt without them. Theyre full of holes, but ai know i cant shoot a bird without them.
This has happened with a couple guns. One ive shot for 23 years. The other I just got done dropping-it’s new. It seems like a mental thing that I’m not recognizing the rise in the bird. I didnt miss today, but bird wasnt dead and wasnt found. Young dog isnt seasoned on finding downed birds...
Been having trouble shooting under birds lately. I know damn well Im shooting underneath them, and is worse when im not expecting a flush. Starting to mess with my mind. What do you do mentally to remind yourself to essentially cover the bird and shoot without seeing it?
I dont know whats been the oddest because non seem crazy to me but in my time behind shorthairs ive had deer, turkey, coyote, coon, skunk (i kicked it), mouse, rabbit, grasshopper, butterfly, and just tonight a house fly.
Well they would last forever for my dog then. My gsp makes sure she hits fences with her shoulders, ass, back legs, or the rear belly area. Anything not covered by a vest.
