What is “hot spotting”?

I guess the birds are where the are on and any day😁 We had a field full on one spot but the dog got too excited and got ahead of us. Maybe some of them will still be around tomorrow?

We found some good habitat south of Mitchell that produced some birds. Went North today and found the bare dirt CREP. Sure wished I had read his post sooner. Did find some off closed/min maint roads adjacent to corn.

Speaking of great wives, I just returned home from a month long combo SD Pheasant hunt and ID Elk hunt. She told me she had a bunch of "use or lose" vacation time to burn before Jan and said she'd be happy to go to SD for a week or so if I wanted to. (y) We're leaving for Mitchel next Monday...

Travel Trailer. Just got back from a trip to SD. Nice small town CG, full hookup, $20/per. Your own Coffee, food, bed. It's about as good as it gets.

I'm in the Woonsocket area. It has been hard. WPAs and Crep plots are getting pounded hard. Lots of standing corn and seems to be a surplus of hens. Dog flushes them and looks back like, "I did my job, why didn't you shoot?" :)

Made it with 2 layovers. Looking forward to getting started.

Heading out tomorrow morning. Filled up the truck here in SW Utah for 3.98/Gal. Looking forward to some of those East of the Rockies gas prices :)

I was with my 10 yr old Grandson last weekend and asked him if he wanted to go to SD and hunt Pheasants. He looked up from his iPad and said, Nah. Hopefully he won't grow up with soft hands.

This is my second year coming to SD and plan on starting the first weekday after the opener. I have about 10 hunting days this trip and am looking for opinions about the second 5 days out in the field. My original target was Redfield and the surrounding area. But, looking at the Pub Hunt...

Expect to arrive in SD on 10-22. Have to be in Idaho on 11-7. Starting out in the area around Plankinton, going to try and hit the Redfield area for a few days. Not sure how it will all play out but it I plan on using up the 10 day licens. How about you? You coming to SD?

Birdman, they'll love gas even more once you start pulling your trailer around :) I am not looking forward to gas prices on my 2300 mile round trip with the trailer this year but I damm sure am still going !

In Location Services - Camera on the iPhone you can turn off storing where it was taken. Pretty sure most phones have the same feature. Tell you what, send me 4 or 5 honey hole pics and I'll tell you if I can see the location 😁😁😁
