1.35 total. We need more to fill Cedar Bluff. I called today and the lake hasn't even came up an inch. We need a big 10 inches of rain over a week period to bring it up and help the Aquifer. This will help the wheat but that is it.
I prefer a little wind. I don't know when in the hell you will get a 5 to 8 mph wind in Kansas. I find that with wind I am able to slip up on a rooster much more than calm days. Of course I hunt by myself and not with a people hollering "rooster". Never could figure that one out.
It would be nice if Kansas had the opening weekend for residents only. Then have the 2nd week for NR's. You would still get idiots but only half as many.
Thats why I don't hunt opening weekend. Too many douche bags, both resident and non-resident. I probably would have been in a fist fight, but you really don't know who you are dealing with during these situations and it is safer to walk away.
.90 here since late last night and still raining. We need one of those 10-12 inch rains over a week period to bring water into Cedar Bluff. 22 feet low right now and the Smokey is bone dry as usual.
.70 so far here and it actually rained instead of a drizzle. First time I have had some standing water in my yard in the last 2 years. They will tear the hell out of the roads tomorrow. Farmers will get pestered pulling out stuck hunters.
