    2023/2024 Pheasant Hunting Videos

I agree and add: When a bird flushes, especially out of a slough, I want the dog to be in hot pursuit. Obviously I don't want the dog chasing into the next county; usually the chase doesn't continue, if the bird continues flight. Frankly, of all the dogs I've hunted with (including my own 5)...

    Your Experience With This?

Kind of on the high side...If you were not a guest and had permission plus fee it might look something like this: Lodging $100, Meals $75, Trespass fee $200. Under #400. As for wild birds: I'm sure thy have to mix in penned birds.. And 12,000 acres of crp sounds like a lot of land dedicated to...

Interesting video - especially like the "last resort wader" part! You're avid, Bob. Let the Golden's loose and they'll find them every time.

    Snow depths near Geddes/Armour

What were the road conditions in that area? Limited? Were you able to hunt sloughs? Assume the birds weren't running in the cattails.

    20 g benelli M3

"Limbsaver" has a pad that's 5/8" thick - grind to fit; thinnest pad I've found. Not an M3??

    20 g benelli M3

I'm not sure they are interchangeable...I tried to use the M3 stock on my M2 and it didn't work. They do make it a challenge to employ a different recoil pad than the Benelli pad. I wrote about this in a previous message...

    Coconut Oil - removes cockleburs!

Brent: On my Golden I use a spray bottle with conditioner and water, heavy on the conditioner. Also, I employ electric clippers around the chest and under the legs and belly. The burrs come rather easy, it's the fuzzy grass that sticks to the skin that's tough to remove, even with oil. With...

    Losing confidence in dog

Only a year old...perhaps your expectations are too high. Tell us about her training - intro. to birds, prey drive etc.. I'm sure there's still a lot of puppy in her and she gets distracted and/or disinterested. Talk to your trainer about what you are experiencing - they might have some good...

Warmers on the wrists...doesn't that burn the skin? Or are they on top of long underwear? I put double packets in the heavy gloves on my left hand. On the right, I found heated glove liners work well; they are very thin and require an over glove. Found stretch gloves at Menards that work...
