Just got back from deer hunting W of Mobridge and couldnt believe how many PDs there were on public ground. All you rifle nuts should keep it in mind if looking to burn up some ammo.

I would not hunt unharvested crops on CREP or WIA regardless of rules. These two options are private land leased by the state. Food plots on GPAs are open game and make for some great late season hunting.

Ive seen this several times first weekend or two of season and know its part of the game with limited space, I usually try to make contact and workout a acceptable plan but otherwise let them get in front and hunt all the birds they race past.

Other plans fell thru so looks like Im heading that way Sunday on a solo trip. Looking forward to seeing new country. Taking my 3 yr old DD and his 7 month old son so should be a learning experience.

I seen a field by Alexandria hayed yesterday. A field just put in to crp three years ago. On a positive the Ft Pierre grasslands look great and theres more sharpies than the last couple years Id guess.
