    Which Barrel First For Over/Under

Everything I've read is right barrel but that's because most sxs are a double trigger and I think you fire the forward trigger first which is tied to the right barrel? One thing I read said it's a "safety" feature but to me, shooting forward barrel first seems less safe since you could slip and...

    Dog Breed Popularity

It's one thing having one (my mom has a 10 pound ankle biter sized dog that's just fine as a house pet for her that she paid $300 for 16 years ago) but to pay 2800 for one?! I'll pass on that all day.

    Dog Breed Popularity

That's one thing I can't understand. Is people paying thousands of dollars for a dog that's just a dog. I was talking to someone awhile back about dogs (a non hunter) and mentioned I had Small Munsterlanders and how they are a bit of a rare breed in the US. They asked how much I paid since I...

    Browning 20ga A5

You'd probably have to find out should you be interested in hunting them. I have none and know MN requires no license and there's no daily or possession limit. Same cannot be said for ducks, doves or woodcock.

    Browning 20ga A5

I can honestly say I've never looked into crow hunting nor it's regulations. But from my brief Google search and the Ohio regulation book, I would surmise no plug is needed as it doesn't say it's needed like it does for waterfowl and migratory birds and that electronic calls are not allowed for...

    Browning 20ga A5

Page 26 of your hunting regulations. It doesn't explicitly state "for mourning doves" but it's stated within the Waterfowl and Migratory Bird Hunting section, which includes Woodcock and Doves under the purview of the section.

    Which Barrel First For Over/Under

Yeah he says it feels faster to him but I'm sure if he used bottom first all these years he'd say loading bottom barrel first is faster haha it's just what he's used to and comfortable with. Yeah I've seen the same with the less recoil which is why I'm using bottom barrel first but i agree it's...

    Which Barrel First For Over/Under

Yeah my dad's reasoning behind top first is that he believes it's easier to load a 3rd shell for a quick follow up in the top barrel versus bottom barrel.

    Which Barrel First For Over/Under

Since I grabbed my first over/under shotgun, I'm curious which barrel you guys shoot first. My dad's been shooting an over/under for over 30 years and has always used his top barrel first. I'll probably use my under first after reading various things online but it got me curious what the folks...

    Crazy weather

I wish mine did haha I turned mine into a gas shovel basically to do my driveway. I got about 2 inches of water below about 4 inches of snow so even my gas dual stage blower isn't cutting it.

    Lab guys sorry but....

I think anyone here bashing on or saying a NAVHDA Prize 1 Utility Test or Versatile Champion dog can't compete with their black lab they got from farmer Bill is just really showing either a willful ignorance or has never seen what either of those tests involve. Obviously there are fantastic...

It could have held off a few more days for me. I'm headed to east central Iowa tomorrow morning and back Sunday. I feel like I can complain some 😂

    2023/2024 Pheasant Hunting Videos

I like his videos alot. He does voice overs in a nice way that doesn't distract from what's going on and doesn't overdo them either.

    Lab guys sorry but....

Yeah it just depends on the situation. I've let mine go before but I've been burned enough times that I stay close and my dogs have learned 40-60 yards is max range for how I like to hunt. My dogs also are multi species dogs, hunting Ruffed and sharp tailed grouse, woodcock, prairie chickens...

    Lab guys sorry but....

Id really like to know where he (and some others) are getting the sentiment that running pointers is an easy, lazy hunt. Just because we don't have to chase the dog all over the field because a bird can jump at any moment with a flusher? I guess being able to let my dog cover ground is lazy...

    Party Hunting

Same here. I've been on trips with people where I don't pull the trigger for a day or 2 while others are hammering away. Just the way things work sometimes. As long as it's a fun trip, the dogs have a good time and a couple birds end up in someone's game bag, I'm happy.
