One reason I’m wondering. They say the game bag will hold 3-4 pheasants depending on the size of the bird.

I had a nice Citori many years ago that I wish I hadn’t sold. I have FAIR Iside now. A Fausti or Rizzini would be nice. Franchi sideplate is nice. Some good Ithacas on gunbroker.

That’s how I feel about my 1969 Light 12 and my son’s 1954-55 Light 12. Just works of art. But I’ll hunt more with my modern sweet 16. Only due to weight. But I’m looking forward to going on a hunt with my son where we both use our light 12s to get some birds.

Did you add any shims to change the stock length or cast?

I’ll give my 2 cents as well. Modern or current A5 is an inertia driven gun. Aluminum receiver. Wood stocked versions are pretty nice. The tupperware stocked ones are nice and good guns if you don’t care much about looks or you want something you can bang around with impunity in the duck...

There’s a nice 12 gauge Marlin 90 on Gunbroker. I recently bought a Charles Daly by Miroku. Its light, but I haven’t shot it yet to see how it handles recoil. But its a nice gun.

That’s great. We have some woodcock here in AR, but I’ve never seen one. But then again, I haven’t hunted them either.

I got tired of the traditional vest I have this year so I bought a Dan’s vest after my last hunt. It has zippers on the ammo pouches. Not sure I’m going to like that. My mother in law is good at sewing, so I may enlist her to add some backup velcro or some magnets.

Just got a new A5 Sweet 16. The neutral shim is preinstalled. I know fitting it is the best way to determine what my needs are, but wanted to see what the consensus was out there. Just shoot it neutral or put in the cast off shim? Whats you preference and why?

Got a 280 20 ga with 25” barrels about 2 years ago. Pretty sweet.

26” or 28” barrel? I’m looking at ordering one soon. I like those patterns for those chokes. I’m a fan of Trulock chokes. I was thinking of using Briley chokes if I got it but may just stick with Trulock.
