I was excited for the Christmas break, the nice weather that was forecasted, and the opportunity for long rooster tails. Today did not disappoint. Three birds with a 22”, 23.5”, and a 24.5” .

I still encounter a thick crust of ice on top of the snow. In the grasses and vegetation much less. These three held super tight despite are less than stealth approach.
