Grouse doesn't open until September 14th. We're just going north for a weeks getaway, but we do alot of hiking while we are on vacations, so it's a good opportunity to see/hear birds.

Wisconsin Drumming Survey for 2024 showed a 60% increase for the Northern area from 2023....so hopefully that trends nicely with numbers. It was a really mild winter/spring for the Northern area.

The places I have stayed at in ND, SD, and northern Wisconsin all allow dogs inside the residence. That has included a mix of Airbnb and "cabins". It's kind of a must for us. I fully agree on the "build" of a lab and the concerns for the grounding and pounding they put on. Larger bone structure, larger muscle structure, broader build.....and they have the ability to put weight on quickly. My Lab will be 8 in July. I have had him on glucosamine chews for some time...

Yawn on this whole versatile thing. Yes, by NAVHDA definition, a Labrador Retriever does not fit the NAVHDA definition of "it's" recognized versatile breeds. So what, it's "their" list.
