Had a great hunt today in SW.My shooting started off pretty poor but eventually I warmed up and managed an easy limit. Made the long trek back and even beat the family home. Roosters held nice and tight and gave perfect shot opportunities. Couldn’t have asked for anything more

That’s exactly what I was doing. Doing stuff at the deer property, that land is flat. Brought the pup with to hunt a few random pieces of public on the way home. Wonder what the birds do in that situation?

Amazing what the storm did where I was at today. Knocked down crp fields and cattail sloughs flat.

Meh, he knew you guys were hunting, and was not wrong. Nothing wrong here. Lots of guys get pits in their stomach when CO comes around. Even some of the most strait laced guys I know.

Always cracks me up when a bird takes off in the wind, so fast, I don’t even try, just laugh. Reminds of getting buzzed by waterfowl going a million mph. And you just say welp, there goes some.

I agree with that as well. Just basic respect to your fellow hunters. I imagine we are all on the same page here.

Not own it, but I would say some common sense and respect comes into play. See grims post above. You have to work hard on public and if you put the extra effort to be at a spot first I think other people should respect that. It obviously depends on the wma and the land as well.
