    New Law

Are there plenty of birds? Would you rather have too many ringnecks oust the hens out of the winter cover, or let nr hunt/harvest them? If there are plenty of birds, why restrict the length of the season or the bag limit. Goose- if you think it is crowded in your state, you ought to try a...

Lead shot ban (DFL introduced bills) opposed by MN State HS Clay Target League

Salt run-off from the roads is a bigger polluter than lead shot, at least in the area of the eastern great lakes.

    Browning 20ga A5

Sorry to nitpick, but, I do not know where you got your info from. Ohio is wrong! No restriction on upland birds or small game. Deer, turkey, & waterfowl are now limited to 3 shells, but they did not use to be. Doves are not considered waterfowl, & I can use my Ithaca deerslayer factory 8 round...

    How many shells?

A lot more in the woods than on the prairie. I once stood in one spot with a sxs 24” barrel, cylinder bore 12, & shot 8 times as 4 grouse flushed 1 at a time from a briar patch above me. Missed the bird every time, but cut a 6” tree nearly in half about 3 yards in front of me.

I have an original tritronics upland special 2 dog. The transmitter is very similar to the Garmin 550. I also have a cheapie Cabelas ecollar setup. I painted both of the transmitters neon orange. Tail talk 😄

I started out with Brits & have had over a dozen. I agree with you on the longer tail. I had some that if they were looking back at you it was hard to tell if they were pointing or not with those bob tails. Brits do have their place! As long as we had decent numbers of grouse here in Ohio, I...

    Kennel cover question

My buddy in Ohio has shorthairs. If it is gonna be cold we zip the covers on the crates up tight. One is a mud river & the other is more insulated. Inside the cap(cover). On my fiberglass 8 dog trailer, I have an Amish made custom canvas that we snap & zip tight if it is going to be cold. No...
