I have a Pyke too. Just got mine in Oct. It is easy to put birds in with the xl gamebag. Only complaint is it doesnt come with bottle holders or a pouch to hold one. 40 dollars is a bit steep for theirs. Other than that feels good, distributes weight well.

Benelli had same issues. They just sent me a new stock to the place that sold it to me. No questions asked and it was only a month to get it in.

Do you still have the pistol grip stock on? Try to put a M2 stock on with the short pad. I use the short pad,13 1/2 or 13 7/8 I think. Special order from Benelli or local Benelli dealer.

Greg, how much snow is on the ground up there? We were there in late oct and there was 13 inches.

I like M and IM in my 2 28 ga. Just seems like it hits much harder with those. Might be all in my head too. Guess you just have to center the birds no matter the choke. But at 64 my reactions have slowed a bit and those seem to add a few yards to range.

Maybe cause its a sharptail?

We did the wing pull on most of ours this year. If the wing was taking the brunt of the shot dont try. Just clean that as normal. But it worked great on all the rest. Pull slowly. Just keep steady pressure and go slow.

Been aging since 2008. If you havent you , you havent ate good pheasant. Simple as that. Meat is more relaxed after, and so much more tender and flavorful. My friend from Montana showed me years ago. Its true.

Benelli M2 12 with cyl bore choke. Once went 2 years without missing a bird in trials with it. Deathstick!

You dont have to shoot as quickly as you think. Get over the startling fact of the flush . Raise your gun smoothly and let your pattern have time to open to the choke your shooting. If I use a 12 over pointing dogs its cyl choke. A 20 is mod . A 16 is imp and mod or full in a sxs . Just slow...
