    These video guys

“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”― Ayn Rand

    28 guage

IF you can find a trap range that has a Garmin Xero S1 Trapshooting trainer and IF that range has someone that understands how to use the Garmin, you can dial your gun in pretty quickly. Set up the Garmin on Station 3@16 yards. Set the trap to throw straightaways. Use a full choke in the gun...

    Rex Specs- Again

Appreciate all the good info. Since I’m hunting the opener I think I’m too late to get the Labs accustomed to the Rex. Please tell me more about using the Mushers wax. Never tried that. How thick, etc

    Rex Specs- Again

I know Rex Specs/dog eye protection has been discussed a while ago. I re-read those threads. Reports from where I’m headed say it’s been so dry that every leaf and blade of grass is razor sharp. That’s not good for the dogs. So for those of you that have the Rex, any regrets or complaints...

Physics is always physics. A 1oz load of #5s @ 1205fps has the exact same muzzle energy in any gauge you choose to use. A single #5 pellet coming out of the muzzle at 1205fps hits the bird with the exact same energy in any gauge you choose to use. Put enough #5 pellets that left the muzzle at...

    New Benelli M2

If a person is shooting LOW with a shimmable gun like the Benelli, to me the correct fix would be to reduce the drop of the stock. That is exactly why they give you shims. I doubt Benelli would want you to use taller beads or they would supply a few different beads. The old acronym for...

Tristar Viper G2 or Weatherby Element - Back Up & Rainy Day Gun

So, unlike Benellis that use a nut, the Element uses a bolt. This is the blow up of the parts diagram. S03 is the Buttstock Lock Washer and S04 is the Buttstock Bolt. Any chance of finding a stiffer/thicker lock washer? That and some blue or red Loctite might settle it down.

Tristar Viper G2 or Weatherby Element - Back Up & Rainy Day Gun

"Won a Weatherby Element 12G camo at a banquet a couple years ago. They do have design defect where the internal stock bolt comes loose and the butt stock gets wobbly from recoil." Is there a Nylock nut that will fit the internal stock bolt? Might be worth a try.

    Muck/Rubber Boots For Upland

I have used Mucks starting with the 2021 season. I don't have the zip up, just the regular chore boot type. I only use them in the wet/mud. I don't really care to wear them otherwise. I've worn them for long periods but I don't really feel those are all day boots for me. Not enough support and...

    Money for the birds!!

Yes, both true and well known to those who have studied the bird. You can have 1,000,000 acres of the best possible pheasant habitat but if there’s not a single pheasant around for a 100 miles in any direction, it’s going to take a looooong time before you have a shootable pheasant population...

    Money for the birds!!

Yanno, prior to 1882 the Williamette Valley in Oregon had an abundance of high quality pheasant habitat. However, there were no pheasants there at all until Judge Owen Denny imported pheasant from China and <gasp!> released them. Similarly, South Dakota had an abundance of high quality pheasant...

    Importance of eCollars?

I use a Garmin GPS collar. Primarily for KNOWING where they are when you are in the middle of a huge corn field and can only see a short distance. Secondarily, as gps4 said, they are trained to recall on the vibrate so you can silently recall them. The are also trained to recall on tone which...

    Truck caps

Overhead Vault. Leer is fine, although the single-handle rear window closure didn't hold up. Linkage broke. My cap has the two single twist handles. He said he'd get that next time. Probably won't BE a next time. We're both getting old, lol.

This is what I put on my GMC crew/shortbed: ATC LED Topper with a drop down front sliding window, 12" LED strip light, no carpeted headliner, Drivers side sliding Windoor window and Passenger side sliding Windoor window. I'm very happy with it. The Windoors with the sliding middle window are...

    Nesting/Brood Rearing Report

This is a photo clip of a video. One of our friends lost ALL his crops in a hail storm. This was some of his spring wheat. Total loss. Wheat, corn, beans, all gone. Hasn’t seen a chick since. Some dead roosters and hens. Bad luck for sure.

    Giardia in Dogs

There are dosage charts all over the internet. You can always verify with your vet. This one is from: GoodRx: What is the dosage of metronidazole for dogs? The dosage for metronidazole is based on how much your dog weighs, and it varies depending on what’s causing their infection. For...

Northwoods Outlet Muck Boot Closeout Sale

I think it was Benelli Banger that gave us a heads up on this place a couple years ago. I bought some Muck boots then at a great price. Just ordered another pair of these ($60/$13 shipping ~ $73) as I tore my old pair doing landscape work: This version features Mossy Oak Country DNA® designed...
