I got the chance to hunt in south west ND and had a good solid hunt. Couldnt believe all the new oil rigs in the area. Found both Huns,Grouse and phesant in our area. We didnt shoot our quota but had a real good time trying. One bad thing thow,my buddy lost his field champion German Shorthair the day before our hunt was over. The dog was 11 years old and got lost in a heavy crp field. We talked with all the land owners,vets and local police but knowone turned him in. Sad situation for sure. Long drive home to Iowa,keep hoping the cell phone would ring with good news.
