Heartworm

I gave the ivermectin horse paste for close to 40 years to as many as 8 dogs at a time, mostly pointing dogs, with no issues. Then, about 5 years ago I had the collar/stop on the tube broke & severely overdosed my pp. I would urge anyone using the paste to first put the dose onto a spoon, or a treat, or other food before giving it to the dog. I switched to the liquid after that episode. Lucy ended up hunting 16 years & I finally put her down after 17.5 years.
 
I too have been using the Horse paste dewormer for years with No problems. I recently had a stop failure on a tube as well so now I put a dose on a wooden tongue depressor and wipe it on their tongue
