It needs treatment from a vet. It's pretty painful for the dog, and can get pretty gruesome if left alone. The vet procedure doesn't even need anesthetics. They cut a small hole under the pouch, place a stint in the pouch that keeps the hole open to drain all the blood, and put the dog on...

Man that sucks. There's some good WIA between Eckley and Holyoke. Sounds like it got obliterated. I hope all of Yuma county isn't affected. Things were looking so good for the corn harvest this year that those farmers really needed.

That's rough, Rocky. 15 yrs sure is a long time for a pup to be with you. Losing any type of friend is tough, but dogs are particularly hard. Dogs are easier to be around than humans because you always know what's going on by looking in their eyes and at their tails. Good luck, friend.
