    Hunting reports

I've seen great reports on quail. Just wondering if anyone has been hunting and how you've been doing. I stopped in north central for a half day hunt on my way back home from Kansas. Hunted for a few hours with no luck. I snooped in the quail wing drop box close by and saw someone had some...

    Any bobwhite news?

That's encouraging news. I've yet to flush a pheasant in OK. I haven't been upland hunting that long though. I think I'll probably go the first and second weekends of December. My brittany and I can hardly wait. Hope we can kick up 4 pheasants and 3 coveys.

First time to SD. Nov. 21-24

Hey I appreciate the honesty. We will get there Saturday evening. Sunday might have to be mainly a scouting day and then Monday-Tuesday will be the big hunting days. That way we kind of let the deer hunters have the weekend. So after the opening weekend of pheasant hunting, is the Mitchell...

First time to SD. Nov. 21-24

Thanks for all the input. Unfortunately that's the only time I can make it up there this year. I'm hearing people say go northwest. Is that because of better opportunity for birds or to avoid the deer hunters? My dates are set but I'm flexible on location. Scott

    Dog boots

Lewis dog boots. I use these on my brit and it's by far the best boot I've used. you have to duct tape them on your dog but it's well worth it. Haven't lost one. They stay on and I haven't had a puncture yet. They are on gundogsupply.com or you can go to the factory (basically a garage at...

    Any bobwhite news?

Well good to hear there is some optimism. This will be my second year to OK. It was pretty good to me last year in the western part of the state. I hope I have similar or better luck this year. I'll be looking for the roadside survey. Scott

Good Freinds Brush Bobwhites and Brittanys

Randy, I've been to North Central Kansas( near Mankato) the past two years. This year we saw double the number of roosters we did last year on private land. Thats not saying a whole lot being that we saw very very few the first. It did make for a much more enjoyable hunt though. Still in North...
