I don't believe its hunting that is causing the problem. We have two Vizsla s that are hard of hearing and neither one hunted

I discovered neopreme vests can be cut with sissors and many are marked so you can accuratey chop away the excess and enlarge the leg and shoulder areas to fit the dog. My boy hunters thank me for discovering those cutting areas....winks

The beauty of varnish is you can sand it with a fine grade of sand paper and put more on. Thin the varnish with paint thinner the first coat probably 2 ounces of thinner to 2 ounces of varnish. Dont glomb it on go thin. I varnished teak for 25 years on my sailboat and never ever left a run in it.

Berretta is a very nice OU and I was enamored with their 20a pigeon 2 for years. When I was ready to buy one, I helft a Berretta and a Fausti and I liked the balance and craftsmanship a little bit more than the Berretta.

I use them for dog training too. Shooting pigeons and chukar, not the dog.

Pheasants were scarce in Nebraska before the big push for ethanol corn and now it just open air manufactoring of corn for that stuff. Talk about ruining the habitat.

What I know is that shooting clay pigeons made ME a better shot, I shoot over vizsla s which are pointers and if they bust a bird, there is no shot, and they wait to be sent on a retrieve. Pheasants are nasty birds for holding, I like cattails because they are limited in the ability to run...

Learn to shoot with both eyes open and pointing the gun, not aiming. You should join a gun club and shoot clay pigeons once a week. You will be surprized how much better you shoot.
