Looks like WAY too much fun!!! I gotta hurry up and retire...

    Chainsaws...sort of.

Have the same saw, carry bird hunting and foraging...comes in handy and no need to carry gas!

    Too old....?

Get a dog, and set yourself free!! Best move I ever made and I waited until 53.

    Prairie Storm Issue

Pheasant Max Plus #5 was my go to for the 12 gauge. Extra dollars didn't kill deader.

What would your favorite “bonus bird” be while pheasant hunting?

Always take huns, but sharptail a close second. Early 80's MN shot pheasant, ruffed grouse, huns and wood ducks on a single and unique piece of ground. Gawd I miss that property and the huns that used to be here.

Now that the season is over

Dogs deserve birds...wild or pen no difference. Penalty is a 6-pack of Schlitz at hunts end.

    1/3/26

After a night of bourbon, shooting the rooster on the left cures the double vision.

    Under choked or over choked?

Fantastic ammo IMO, been shooting #5s out of Franchi Instinct IC/M for about 5 years.

    Under choked or over choked?

My guess is over choked....guilty myself at times.

Please send me your 28 gauge and ammo before having those words, just in case. 😉

    Backup guns

Never leave home without a backup. Use semi-autos and o/u, mix and match. Also worry about theft so usually carry with me in the truck and into room.

    20 ga Wild Pheasant ammo?

2 3/4" #5 B&P Heavy Pheasant are my go to. Golden Pheasant equally as good, just a bit slower. Shoot IC/Mod early, and Mod/IM late...and mix in 3" #5's when necessary.

    Binoculars?

Meopta glass on a couple rifles, very happy with them. Binoculars have been Vortex Viper 10x50 and Razor 10x50. Super happy with both.
