It was really sketchy. Here on the other side of the state I had 2.1", my cousin 3 miles southeast had 3.5. His wife said her hometown of Cedar Vale east of Ark City got 7". Last night on the way home from my daughters north of Winfield I ran into the rain. from just west of Elk Falls to east of...
Been pheasant hunting with a Dickinson Estate 28" 16 ga for about 10 years now. It's for sure my goto gun except when its cold enough I have to wear gloves too bulky to use the double triggers. 1 1/8 oz home loaded 5s@1250-1270fps sure gets the job done.
I've been wearing a pair of Cabelas chaps for about 20 years. Helps when the grass is wet or frosty and comes close to warming my legs as much as a pair of long johns. Then I can take them off midday or so when it warms up
3.2" of much needed rain so far this morning here at my place in SE Ks. Of course the phone app says 1.65", everything from radar there and the station is 15 miles away.

Wish I live close to pheasant country. I’m about 4-5 hours from where we used to hunt here in Ks when there were enough birds to be worth it. Last few years we’ve traveled 10-12 hours to SD for pheasants. Two hunts last year, 6 days total
I grew up hunting southern Wilson county in the 60s-70s. Getting a limit was entirely about shooting success, not bird numbers. Big farming hasn't helped, but the cedar takeover on the old hill pastures has been worse.
Here on the other side of the state the drought is definetely over. I had 4" Thursday night and 4.8" last night with multiple tornadoes scattered around the area. Lots of water everywhere you look.
