    Decked drawer system for pickups?

I have the original Decked system in my truck and love it. I don't stock it with hunting items because it has my tools in it. I drive a lot of dirt roads and there is some dust from 4 1/2 years of use but not enough to worry about it. I bought their gun mounts but haven't used them. If I were...

    Dog box dimensions

Thanks Chad. Self built is a whole lot easier to swallow than a $500 plastic box!

    Let’s talk hunting

You all have done great, I have only found them while archery elk hunting, never when I have been out with my dogs and a gun...

    dog vest

I use both a Sylmar and a Cuga. One of my GSP‘s has very fine hair and the buckles and straps that ride on the dogs back rubbed bare spots in his coat. I am able to use it on my other dog no problem. I use the Cuga on the fine coated dog with no issue. I prefer the fit of the Cuga and the fact...

Upland strap vest you can load birds in

Another vote for Final Rise. I've tried many strap vests that are hard to load and had impossible to reach water bottle pockets. The must frustrating on others I have used are the buckles and adjustment hardware that are garbage. - Final Rise are extremely well built IN AMERICA!!! - I had...

    Phillips County report

Thanks for the report. I haven't been around Holyoke this year but it has been slim up in that area for a few years now IMHO. Last year I went into a piece of private that no one had been in all season and only saw three roosters in about five miles of walking. Hadn't heard of that hail storm...

    Porcupines On The Prairies

That is a great idea, Haretrigger. I have a buddy that routinely has porcupines on his property, I will give it a shot

    Porcupines On The Prairies

I was hunting around New England ND about 5 years ago and one of my GSP's found one that required a trip to the vet in Dickinson. Crazy thing was, it wasn't in a thicket or around trees, it was out in a CRP field. I only wish I could find a Porcupine avoidance class to put my dogs through.

    Mckelvie National Forrest Trip Advice

I found a really good Vet in Valentine, Dr. Janet Wood 402-376-1500, I think she is the only small animal Vet in the area. She helped me out in a pinch when my dog got a good sized cut on his leg and it was on the weekend.

    Hunters Going on Point

I hate saying it annoys me but in some way it does. I hunt two GSP's and 90% of the time it's on public land, it's not like a southern plantation hunt where you have time to get off your horse or out of a horse drawn carriage only to walk up five minutes after the dog goes on point. Hard hunted...
