The first picture is one day before the snow and the 2nd is from the first snow fall. The snow really helped the birds hold and made tracking birds for the dog much easier.
I shoot 3" Black Cloud #3 in steel. I hunt a lot of different areas and do not want to switch between lead and steel. For me this patterns the best out of my gun. It also seems that I do not have as many runners as I have had using other brands.
We got out for a quick hunt on Saturday. Walked some ground next to a freshly cut corn field and were able to find a few birds. Bohdi and Jake were happy.
I have the Ethos and the Silver FeatherWeight. I prefer the featherweight because of the rasied rib. It definitely fits site line better. The Ethos is a great option but the Silver Featherweight is a better fit for me.
I have to use non toxic where I do most of my hunting and I have had good performance from Blackcloud #3 in 1/4 ounce. I used to go with a cheaper steel in the same shot and had too many runners. Since switching to Blackcloud, more times than not they are laying where they landed.
