I have to say South Dakota was a 9 or 10 for me this year after being 4-6 for the past 5-6 years. Conditions were great for allowing farmers to get the crops out and we had more birds than we've ever seen. Renewed my love of pheasant hunting, working with dogs, and getting to hunt with my buddies.

Mountain Kakai (MK) makes a great pair about $75, for cold and wet I'd spend the extra and get Orvis, about $150 but will last a lifetime.

Does anyone know of an e-collar system that you can set up to correct the dog if it ranges out too far? I have a Dratharr that wants to get too far out and flush birds, he'll case pheasant that run I'd like to find a collar that automatically corrects him if he gets out more than 40 yards
