Fred, I just saw this message. I was not ignoring you.

I am in the south end of the Denver metro area. Lived in Ames through junior and senior high school. Moved to Colorado for my senior year (Ft. Collins). Have been in Ft. Collins, Silverthorne, and Denver.

Have not been back to hunt Iowa, but a friend still goes back annually. Hunting has been bad in SE Iowa, according to him.

I too learned to shoot Pheasants in Iowa decades ago near Garner. The reports from friends this year is outstanding near there. Iowa is on the comeback and will try it next year for sure. I live in Loveland, where are you?
