Miforester, that’s cool you have a lifetime license as well. My mom bought mine for me as a graduation gift from UNL in 1988. It was $200 at that time. I have not live in NE since then, but get back to hunt 5-6 times a year. Best gift ever!

Sounds like a great trip. I too love hunting Nebraska! I have a lifetime license and spend as much time there as possible.

Wondering what produces the recoil from a given shell, velocity or weight of payload? Or a combo of both?

Another Nebraska bird from this weekend with White spurs. Bottom of his feet look like he’s been hanging out in a silage pile at one of the nearby feed lots!

Here is a Nebraska bird that is molting spurs. We see this regularly. I would assume a bird would need to be at least a second year bird to do this.

The puppy in the first shot turned into a beast of a 1.5 yr old pictured with some Nebraska roosters from this fall. Oh wait, there’s no pheasant in Nebraska!
