I have nothing to hide. Was just curious because I was there hunting and never saw it so figured they were up north around Huron or Aberdeen but I was wearing there.
Yesterday (Sunday) I saw 71 degs on the truck. I’d say at those temperatures a lot of corn will be coming out asap. Really interesting to hear that hand and Hyde only at 25% harvested.
I’m between chamberlain and Mitchell and I think it’s safe to say 75% plus of the corn out of the fields. Lots of combining last two days and see more cut corn fields than none cut fields.
I don't get that far north in South Dakota so I have no clue what it is like up there. I'm leaving Thursday 10/30 to head to SD for a 5 day hunt. I will be staying in Chamberlain and using that as a base and go 1-2 hour radius drive from there. I don't have any honey holes but I am with...
I leave Thursday October 30th to hunt for 5 days. Hoping these dry temps are helping farmers get the corn out at least. I prefer to stay away from the opener. Too many people for me
Glad to hear progress going on harvest.
Hoping to go back to original question on this post? Any of you know any youth that got out and hunted? Somebody said one kid got two birds but that’s the only response?
It’s a bummer the government shut down prevents the release of the crop harvest report but what do you do. Nice to hear the updates from you guys. Looks like it should be good weather this week to get after the harvest.
I already have lots of pictures of Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Don't forget the big pheasant in Huron and the corn palace in Mitchell I have pictures. I feel this SHC would just complete my tourist experience of South Dakota. ;)
