    Private land?

Yeah made the decision to give it a go during deer season regardless. If the weekend is busy we'll go west River.

    Private land?

Making our first trip out to South Dakota (Huron) in a few weeks. I live for public land birds, but want to make sure my 2 fellow hunters joining me have a good time and so ideally I'd have some private land as a backup. Especially if we find that sage and Ace have found all the roosters...

    November Prairie Grouse

Heading to Huron weekend before Thanksgiving for our first SD pheasant hunt with two others and my llewellin setter. At that time of year, would it be worth taking a day to try for prairie grouse out west or is that too late in the season to have any reasonable success?

For boots. I watch your videos, see the cattails and the wetlands. Are y'all wearing muck style boots primarily? Goosemaster has been pushing the sitka pretty hard but they don't seem to have any boots....

That's why only my dog wears the sitka.

The Michigan grouse woods don't have much in the way of barbed wire. Any vest recommendations for my setter?

Thanks for this info much appreciated. 22-26 is what works best for me with little kids, Michigan deer opener etc. looking forward to it. Like you said, if it keeps other pheasant hunters away....

Not really bothered. I won't be looking like a deer and will have plenty of orange. Just trying to stay relatively away from other guys and get some miles in on public land

What could I expect during a South Dakota deer season? Deer drives? "Road" hunting?
