Looking to get some suggestions on trustworthy people to send a couple dogs north to run on the prairies with summer where they actually get worked. Thanks!

Kansas, Nebraska, South Georgia or Oklahoma for quail South Dakota was awesome for pheasant this year. Those are the places we go to get the dogs into wild birds. Then I send mine to summer camp in the summer.

Tennessee is garbage. Kentucky is so so but all private land. I heard of people moving many coveys a day in North Carolina unsure of where. But you know how it is…. Everyone has a couple coveys.

As a matter a fact my first pointer I caused him to start flagging from being over worked on pen raised birds. And I mean flagged on pen raised and wild quail too. Had a guy to tell me to blow a bird up on the ground and it will fix it….

I have not killed any birds over the dog. I generally gun acclimate the dog when they are actively chasing pigeons.

Got a going on 8 month EP female. She will bump and chase the dickens out of a bobwhite. Which is great….. but the most of my training I do is with pigeons. She will not chase them half of what she will a quail. Any suggestions or thoughts on why this is?
