3 years ago I did a 3 state 31 day hunt. Started off in Mn hunting Ruffs and woodcock, then drove down to nebreska for Phez and quail then into Ks, 3 Dogs hunted every day except one.

If there is any kind of snow/rain in southern Nebraska or north Ks forget about getting on the dirt roads. You will be stuck in a heart beat.

If you have been staying in the same hotel most of those years, you should be able to answer your own question. How well do they clean the rooms when you have been there? Is it a brand name hotel or more of a small local motel? either case I would plan on doing a good cleaning when you get there.

Woke up to the national news this morning talking about some flooding going on in some parts of the State. Up to 4" of rain. My question is: At what nesting stage are the Quail in right now for mid-may in KS. Shouldn't they be laying eggs right about now with the peak of the hatch in mid June?
