When my kids were smaller I bought a 10/22 stock from a guy who replaced it with one of the dozens of aftermarket stocks available for that gun. I cut about 1.5" off of it and reinstalled the butt plate. When my kids out-grew it I gave it to friend. His kids have now out-grown it too.
I don't want anything for it except the cost of shipping, if that's necessary. Face-to-face around Wichita, KS and it's yours free! I'd just like to see it go to a good home.
The workmanship is poor--I sanded the stock as much as possible to get the butt plate to fit. Then I used wood filler to fill the gaps. There are a couple of tool marks on the toe of the stock where the dremel got away from me. I'll try to post pictures later.
