In Indiana there is no walk in program. If you want to hunt you do it one of three ways pretty much (1.) Hunt public land (2.) know someone that will allow you to hunt private land (3) buy some property. Having a these farmers is a huge blessing and then to have some one to complain that it was bare of the birds that you were wanting to hunt is borderline criminal. Look at the map, look at what game MAY be on it, and then decide. A box of shotgun shells would last you a lifetime if you hunted pheasant in Indiana and hunted public property. Fifty years ago you could find some but those days are long gone. We do have put and take pheasant hunts, but your basically paying for a bird that you may or may not find.
