Echo, Josey and I did a day trip to Yuma this week.

-90% private - places where I have limited out in an hour (many times)
-Weather was warm; 28 degrees to start, 56 degrees by noon
-10.5 miles of walking
-The dogs located 4 hens; we flushed another one at 60 yards
-Echo got on a rooster that ran to the end of a corner - he could hear us and he could see us - I know that because I saw him because the cover was so thin
-We went back to the private where we started - ended up seeing 4 roosters fly from the private to public - we quietly made our way into the public - a rooster we didn't see flew as soon as we entered the field (80 yards) - we pursued the others, who busted when the dogs picked up ther scent (100 yards) - they were running - so discouraging

This is going to be a difficult season for us. I didn't even get an opportunity to miss.
